Greg Moon

Thunderbird Consulting is a Christian fundraising company whose owner has more than 25 years’ experience in all aspects of fundraising. I specialize in strategic planning, leadership/board development, and capital campaign management. Our main client focus is small to mid-sized churches and Christian non-profits. My emphasis will be on building partnerships with those we serve.

I have: organized numerous capital campaigns for organizations like the YMCA, The Salvation Army; 13 years in higher education fundraising; solicited major gifts; worked with estate planning and has special event experience.

I have served on numerous boards, committees, and community volunteer initiatives including, the Chair for the Association of Theological School’s Development and Institutional Advancement Professionals annual conference. In addition, he has been a national trainer in board and committee development; staff supervision; strategic planning and group & team building. He has a strong Christian faith and these beliefs drive his passion to serve.

I believe that a biblically focused mission and how the scriptures teach us to be generous with what we have been given are core themes that drive Thunderbird Consulting. If we practice sound biblical principles, the purpose of what we do will be clear. The concepts of theological vision, what makes a missional church or organization, purpose driving practice, team building, and unity are all going to be very helpful for any Christian organization, and I embrace and am driven by it.

Thunderbird Consulting has been 30 years in the making, I have a diverse, deep background in non-profits and higher education that includes team leadership, teaching, fundraising, strategic planning, mission and vision and volunteer leadership development but above all, his servant’s heart is at the core of who is.
